Innovation is an important and much sought-after locational factor. And the Heuberger Winterthur Young Entrepreneur Award is an excellent platform to present your location as an ideal economic hub to young German-speaking Swiss entrepreneurs. This is why, for the seventh time, the Location Promotion Region Winterthur and its partners are presenting this competition for start-ups and companies with cutting-edge business ideas. The prize money has been donated by the Robert and Ruth Heuberger Foundation, which has helped to launch many a company and countless entrepreneurs since the start of the competition.
With prize money totalling CHF 600,000, the Heuberger Winterthur Young Entrepreneur Award is one of the most sought after and best-endowed prizes of its kind in Switzerland. Six start-ups from German-speaking Switzerland will reach the podium. They will be chosen by a top-flight jury gathered from the worlds of business, politics and education. The organisers will make a pre-selection of candidates in co-operation with STARTUPS.CH.
The three winners will each receive CHF 150,000 in prize money and a complimentary coaching session from funding organisation Genilem Zürich/Ostschweiz. The three runners-up will each receive CHF 50,000 Swiss towards the cost of establishing their own company.
