Fraudulent bills after the company launch
Fraudulent bills can be an issue.
Shortly after finishing the initial start of a business through formal formation of a business entity, a young entrepreneur can expect to be inundated with different bills. Under no circumstance should these be paid without review. If you start your business through STARTUPS.CH, there are only two bills that have to be dealt with:
-Bill from the cantonal commercial register for the registration fees
-Bill from STARTUPS.CH for the foundation of the company
All other bills from any private service providers should be ignored since it is not uncommon that crooks are at work trying to defraud you. Most often these deceptive bills take the form of a charge for a registration in a special register like for a patent or trademark etc. Such an invoice must only be paid if it has been issued by the IGE (Institut für geistiges Eigentum), of course only in the event that one has actually requested a patent or a trademark.
Bills from the following address can be ignored completely as you would be dealing with a known fraudster:
GDR – Gewerbe Daten Register e.K., Sunnerrainstrasse 26 8309 Nürensdorf
