Since relief coating cannot be applied all the way to the edge, the lacquer finishing starts with the letter “E” in “Elektro Otto”. On the right, you can see a design that was developed for a fictive floor tiler. Here, the designers worked with a silver hot foil that is supposed to represent the joints worked by the scraper.
Stand out with unique designs or chic finishes
The business card on the left was created for a goldsmith and therefore has a rather restrained design. However, the cards feature an optical and haptic highlight, due to the gold foil used. Ground wood pulp card and a letterpress finish were selected for the business card to the right, which was designed for an imaginary tyre service. The die stamping makes the tyre tracks appear three-dimensional, and customers will remember that.
The chic leather shoe was created with shining UV coating for these business cards for an imaginary shoemaker. The same design was also used to print a shoe-polishing set. Handed out to especially good customers, this reinforces the memory effect.
