New commercial register entries for September 2015: a good start to autumn

The number of start-ups grew rapidly in September 2015 compared to the previous month. In total, 3,151 new legal forms were entered into the commercial register. Out of these newly founded companies, around a third ( 1,121) were entered as sole proprietorships. more

In July 2015, the number of new company formations fell slightly compared to the same period last year. As June this year was such a strong month for new company formations, this wasn’t really surprising. Therefore, a slight decline in company formations was not unexpected. more

At a Total Switzerland level, 12.83% fewer companies were founded in May 2015 compared to the prior month April. This constitutes a further decline since the month of March, which performed strongly in terms of new registrations, and an already weak April. more
