Stagnation in July 2022<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In almost all regions of Switzerland, business foundations decreased both compared to last year and to last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compared to the previous month, the figures fell the most in the regions of Ticino (-21.23%) and Northwestern Switzerland (-17.40%). In Central Switzerland, the number of new businesses fell by 16.85%. The canton of Schwyz shows the most significant decrease with -29.23% fewer business incorporations. In Eastern Switzerland, the number of foundations fell by 10.11% and in French-speaking Switzerland, the decrease was minimal (-5.92%).  Only the Zurich region saw a slight increase of 1.91%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A strong July 2021<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Compared to July of the previous year, the number of business incorporations also decreased in all regions except Zurich. In the latter, the figures increased slightly (1.78%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Central Switzerland region saw the greatest decline in business incorporations (-20.06%). The canton of Schwyz again stood out, with figures falling by almost 40%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The regions of Eastern Switzerland (-12.89%) and Ticino (-12.57%) also recorded a decline compared to the previous year. The regions with the smallest decline were Northwestern Switzerland (-5.49%) and French-speaking Switzerland (-9.96%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
