In June 2022, 4,490 new companies were founded across Switzerland. This is 4.03% more than in the previous month. However, compared to the previous year, incorporations decreased by 9.15%.\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Very strong June 2021<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This year, no region in Switzerland was able to match the very strong June 2021 figures. The most significant decreases were in the regions of Eastern Switzerland (-16.82%) and Central Switzerland (-15.42%). In Northwestern Switzerland, a decrease of 10.6% was recorded. The numbers in the regions of Zurich (-3.44%), Ticino (-6.19%) and French-speaking Switzerland (-4.44%) decreased only slightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Increase compared to the previous month, especially in the German-speaking regions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Compared to May 2022, all regions of Switzerland recorded positive results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only in French-speaking Switzerland, Ticino and the Canton of Zurich did the number of incorporations slightly decline compared to the previous month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Successful Northwestern Switzerland<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The number of incorporations increased the most in the region of Northwestern Switzerland, by a total of 13.45%.\u00a0 All cantons were able to increase again compared to the previous month, the only exception being the canton of Basel Land, where the number of incorporations fell by 5.88%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Small increase in central and eastern Switzerland<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In Central Switzerland, a total of 7.65% more companies were founded than last month. However, this is primarily due to the strong results in the cantons of Nidwalden (+87.5%) and Obwalden (+20.00%). Lucerne and Uri stagnated and achieved no increase, whereas Zug and Schwyz respectively recorded an increase of 8.23% and 7.44%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Slight decline in the number of incorporations for French-speaking Switzerland, Ticino and Zurich<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In all three regions the results are objectively good. The number of incorporations decreased only minimally compared to the previous month. In Ticino by 2.3%, in Zurich by 1.13% and in French-speaking Switzerland only by 0.79%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
