Benefits\u00a0depend\u00a0on whether a activity is being carried out which at anytime can cease in order to pursue a gainful\u00a0employment\u00a0in a non-independent\u00a0manner. In a capacity to mitigate loss, the insures individual is carrying out some sort of activity. The requirements for work that allows for unemployment\u00a0benefits are the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the work must be temporary<\/li>\n<li>the work must have limited hours<\/li>\n<li>the work must require no or very little (financial) investment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The goal here is not that the individual will be self-employed\u00a0in the future, but rather that he or she continues to look for an job with an employer.<br \/>\nIn the case of partial self-employment, at least one of the aforementioned\u00a0prerequisites\u00a0would be\u00a0unfulfilled.\u00a0This\u00a0means\u00a0that an individual would be\u00a0considered\u00a0part-time self- employed. Therefore, there would be no claim to any unemployment benefits. Consequently, during the time of partial self-employment there can be no expectation of\u00a0government\u00a0subsidy or relief through unemployment insurance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Principally it is not possible that one is self-employed and unemployed at the same time.
