SoFlow: Swiss Electromobility

With its e-mobility products, the Swiss start-up SoFlow based in Flawil would like to conquer the market. From e-scooters to e-skateboards to innovative e-bikes, it offers its customers a broad array of products that respond to various mobility needs. By expanding worldwide, the company has set itself a high goal.

No More Stress on Finding Parking

E-mobility has conquered the traffic, with the Californian Tesla carmaker, which, with its vehicles, challenges the well-established competition, leading the way. Since they do not produce any emissions, electric vehicles are especially valued in city centres. Even an e-car cannot escape traffic jams, however. Here SoFLow with its products steps in: e-mobility gadgets from Flawil’s start-up are particularly conceived for city centres, and they are also an ideal solution for the so-called last mile of transportation. For foldable and space-saving e-scooters, e-skateboards and e-bikes can be combined with your car or public transport: you can leave your car someplace before the congested city centre and use a comfortable e-scooter for the last distance to arrive at your destination fast and stress-free.

Subsidiaries Already in Four Countries

It was not until 2015 when the company was founded by Manuel Hug, Martin Neuckel and Zi Fong Giang. In electromobility of the last kilometres, they see an enormous market potential. The Swiss quality of its products seems to come across because SoFlow is continuously growing. After just three years, they market more than 20 products, with its electric skateboard having received Red Dot Award. SoFlow has been able to win resellers such as Media Markt, digitec or Fust, and cooperates with renowned partners such as Post, DHL, SBB, BMW or Mercedes Benz, including on sharing models. In addition to Switzerland, there are currently subsidiaries in Germany, the US and China. To expand further on, the company is looking for investors via crowdfunding. The confidence in the Swiss start-up is big: as much as 450k Swiss francs could be collected within just 24 hours.
